Kaishi Professional University was established in 2020 with the aim of cultivating individuals who can contribute to society through practical education, responding promptly to the changing times. Graduates from all faculties—the Faculty of Business Creation, the Faculty of Information Science, and the Faculty of Animation and Manga—have launched their careers into the workforce. The university consistently achieves one of the highest actual employment rates in Japan, and its graduates have excellent career paths, securing positions at listed companies, leading local companies, and emerging businesses. While the students' hard work is undoubtedly the greatest factor in achieving such remarkable results, especially considering the lack of alumni at their workplaces and the unsettled reputation of the university among prospective employers, we believe that the dedicated guidance of our faculty and staff also played a significant role.

The significant impact that Kaishi has had on society in the six years since its founding is based on its founding principles and innovative educational methods. The accelerating pace of technological innovation, as seen in the evolution of generative AI, the powerful wave of globalization, and the increasing complexity of social issues that need to be addressed have ushered in an era where traditional academic systems and educational frameworks are no longer sufficient. In this context, our university has emphasized its distinctive features—"education by practitioners," "collaboration with companies and local governments," and "problem-solving learning"—with the mission of producing individuals who can immediately contribute to society. To this end, we have strengthened our collaboration with industry, actively incorporating joint projects with companies and local governments, over 600 hours of on-site practical training, and Project-Based Learning (PBL). We are also focusing on digital technology and innovation education to cultivate flexible thinking skills that can adapt to changing times.

As president, I intend to further promote the ideals upheld by this university and strive to further improve the quality of education. We strive to enrich our curriculum, improve the educational environment, and strengthen industry-academia-government collaboration, to provide a place where each student can learn and grow proactively.
